Casanova di Neri, a winery founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri and passed into the hands of his son Giacomo in 1991, represents a new vision of Brunello di Montalcino that starts from the tradition of which it gives a different and innovative interpretation. The first harvest of Brunello was in 1978, followed in 1981 by Cerretalto, Rosso di Montalcino in 1982, Tenuta Nuova in 1993, PietradOnicein 2000, IrRosso di Casanova di Neri in 2006 and last IbBianco in 2011. In its history it has obtained exceptional recognitions from the most important magazines and opinion leaders of national and international specialized critics. Currently the company covers an area of about 500 hectares of which 63 are vineyards, 20 of olive groves and the rest are arable land and woods. |
