Andrea Cortonesi, borninto a family of farmers, chose to become an agricultural entrepreneur by buying a farmhouse with landat the end of 1986. Following the purchase, he made the necessaryimprovements, suchas to turn the property into an agricultural company with a prevalence of viticulture, keeping the originalname of the farm: Uccelliera.
The vineyardsextend for around 6 hectares with selectedclones and a high plantdensity.
The cellars, the oldone and the new one, built underground, allow the grapes to ferment, and the wine to mature, in wood and in bottles, with a natural and constant temperature for the wholerequiredperiod. 
The selection made during the harvest, defines and separates the grapesdestined to produce Brunello di Montalcino or Rosso di Montalcino from vineyardsalreadygrown  for thispurpose.
