Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona’s estate, situated east south of Montalcino, it extends in the immediate proximities of the medioeval suburb of Castelnuovo dell’Abate and the famous Romanesque abbey of S. Antimo going back to the XI° century A.D.

Vineyard Ferraiole, Vineyard Egle, Vineyard Contessa and Vineyard Colombaio are only some of the most important in big Sangiovese, a particular representative type of Sangiovese, native of the area of Montalcino, that gives quality also in difficult years.

Presented on a large area of 220 hectares, 55.5 of which are devoted to vineyards and 40 to olive-groves, it owns  typical characteristics of the Tuscan country ornate of sweets hills, grasslands and woods with unforgettable colors.

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Pianrosso" and Brunello of Montalcino DOCG Riserva “ Vigna di Pianrosso” Santa Caterina d’Oro both come from an accurate selection of grapes coming from the single vineyard, the most ancient and representative.
